Pursuant to the provisions of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) 24 CFR Part 903, et.al. 5 Year Plan and Annual Plan. Notice is hereby given that the Franklin County Housing Authority has prepared the 2024 Annual Plan. The Annual Plan is available for public review and inspection effective 11-22-2023. A public hearing will take place to discuss the 2024 Annual Plan on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. at 436 West Washington Street, Chambersburg, PA. The 2024 Annual Plan is available for inspection at the following locations:

The 5-Year and Annual PHA Plans provide a ready source for interested parties to locate basic PHA policies, rules, and requirements concerning the PHA’s operations, programs, and services, and informs HUD, families served by the PHA, and members of the public of the PHA’s mission, goals and objectives for serving the needs of low-income, very low-income, and extremely low-income families. Violence Against Women's Act (VAWA)
VAWA protects applicants, tenants, and program participants in certain HUD programs from being evicted, denied housing assistance, or terminated from housing assistance based on acts of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking against them. Despite the name of this law, VAWA protection is available to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking, regardless of sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
